Founded by Lottie, Huskke & Co is a lifestyle brand and natural home fragrance company producing small batch soy wax candles.
At the heart of our ethos we champion mindful luxury and believe that there is nothing more pleasing than giving or receiving a gift that you know has been hand made with love and that ensures a positive impact on the world. We carefully blend sustainably sourced soy wax with the highest quality essential and toxin free fragrance oils, each taking their cues from sensory moments that have created memories for us. All our candles are hand poured with love in our country studio. We are a conscious brand and have made sure that all our products are honestly and ethically produced with ingredients sourced in the UK. It is our aim to ensure that with every stage of our production and distribution we protect communities, people’s livelihoods, your health and our environment. Their simple, colourful design and warm white glow suits all settings and is guaranteed to bring joy! Our packaging is recyclable, reusable & made with recycled materials.
Lottie's Story
How being diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 25 empowered me to take control of my life, do what I love and create my own happiness.
Huskke & Co was launched in 2016 as a lifestyle brand on Instagram. I am an Interior Designer by trade and so naturally hold a deep appreciation for setting a scene. Colour, atmosphere, texture, and light. Initially I shared inspiring content and snippets from my day-to-day life as a designer. During this time I taught myself how to make candles and mastered the craft for a year, honing the therapeutic skill over many months to refine the perfect scent combinations – source the cleanest and creamiest wax with the highest eco and sustainable credentials. Sourced the highest quality toxin free essential and fragrance oils and got temperature control down to a fine T (my fellow candle makers can relate I’m sure). Initially Huskke candles were very much a hobby but when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 at 25 years old they proved themselves as a essential cathartic pastime that I credit with getting me through my gruelling surgery, treatment and recovery. I was gifted the most precious commodity of all….time! and although under difficult circumstances I dedicated every minute that I could to Huskke & Co, growing it sustainably from a hobby to a fully-fledged brand and business. From then on….I haven’t looked back. I design every component of our brand aesthetic myself and it is all self-taught. Over the years I have built up valuable relationships with British businesses that aid our product design – from our glassware suppliers to silk screen printers and letterpress stationery I love to support and champion our makers!
My aim to create a luxury candle, with colourful packaging, that is clean burning, eco friendly, scented to the highest quality, that looks great in your home and all at an affordable price point stands as true today as it did in 2017. Because no-one wants a candle that turns your beautifully painted walls dark with toxic soot! I can’t tell you how proud I am and it bring me so much joy to share them with you and most importantly that you love them as much as I love making them for you.
