Candle Care

When you receive your order from us you will find always find a candle care card printed on a traditional letterpress by our friend Sarah in the Peak District. The cards detail the following top tips:

To care correctly for your candle please follow the steps below. When first lighting allow the entire surface of wax to melt. This will ensure the candle continues to burn evenly. Please place your candle on a level a heat resistant surface when burning. Do not light if the glass is cracked or damaged and never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Please trim the wick after every burn once the wax has hardened to ensure no soot build up. Stop using when 10mm of wax remains and the silver wick disc becomes visible. Keep the candle away from draughts and flammable materials. Keep the wax pool clear of debris such as match heads and burnt wick. Allow the wax to harden before moving. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Your candle has been hand poured and will burn in it's own unique way.
